Luiz Fernando Furlan – Graduated in Chemical Engineering and Management Business School, with specialization in Financial Management. Chairman of the Board of Director of Sadia S.A. He has been Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade from 2003 to 2007. In Sadia, He was member of the Board of Director, Investor Relations Officer and he acted as Executive Vice-President and he has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors, being nominated again to this function in 2008.
Nildemar Secches – Mechanical Engineer with a postgraduate degree in Finance and a PhD course in Economics. He was a director of the BNDES, corporate director-general of the Iochpe-Maxion Group and president of the Brazilian Association of Chicken Exporters - ABEF. Chairman of the Board of Directors of BRF - Brasil Foods, chairman of the Board of Directors of Weg S.A. and sits on the boards of Ultrapar Participações S.A. and Iochpe-Maxion.
Francisco Ferreira Alexandre – Completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School - USA; he has concluded a specialization course in Strategic Management for Corporate Directors - Insead, Fontainebleau - France; he has an MBA in Corporate Finance from PUC-Rio and a post graduate qualification in Economics and Labor Relations Management from PUC-SP. He graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Alagoas and in Law from the Maceió Higher Education Center. A bank employee since 1978, he is Administration Officer of PREVI and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of BRF S.A.
Carlos Alberto Cardoso Moreira – He is a graduate in Business Administration with specialization in Capital Markets. He was a vice president at Citibank, and worked as officer for institutional customers at Banco BMC. He is currently investments and finance director at Sistel (a pension fund). He is a member of the Board of Directors of CPFL and GTD.
Décio da Silva – (Independent member) Mechanical Engineer with a postgraduate degree in Business Management. He has held the positions of production, regional and sales director at Weg companies. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Weg companies.
João Vinicius Prianti – (Independent Member) Economist and specialist in Marketing. He worked for thirty- seven years at Unilever, heading up various teams around the world. He was Chairman of Unilever Brasil and for twelve years sat on the company’s Latin American Board of Directors. He is currently a business consultant and has a seat on various boards of directors.
Luis Carlos Fernandes Afonso – (Independent Member) Economist, with a postgraduate degree in Environmental and Economic Development and a Master’s degree in Economics. He was finance secretary in the municipal governments of São Paulo, Campinas and Santo André. Board member of BRF - Brasil Foods.
Manoel Cordeiro Silva Filho – (Independent member) Business Manager with a postgraduate qualification in Economic Engineering and an MBA in Finance. He has exercised professional activities at Companhia Vale do Rio Doce for 32 years. He is currently Investment and Finance Director of Fundação Vale do Rio Doce de Seguridade Social-VALIA since 1999 and also Coordinator of the National Investments Committee-ABRAPP.
Rami Goldfjan – (Independent member) Production Engineering and holds a MBA in management with international extension course. He act as CEO for Eleva Alimento S/A, Worked over ten years in the financial market, besides act as CFO of at Grupo Estado de S.Paulo and Eleva S/A.
Roberto Faldini – (Independent member) Entrepreneur, speaker and consultant in Corporate Governance, a graduate in business administration from EAESP - FGV, with specialization in Advanced Management ( Dom Cabral Foundation and INSEAD - Fontainebleau); in Entrepreneurship (Babson College); in Corporate Governance – (IFC, IBGC). Co-founder of IBGC –Brazilian Corporate Governance Institute and an associate member of IBEF –Brazilian Institute of Financial Executives, IEF –Family Company Institute and FBN - Family Business Network. He was an executive officer, shareholder and member of the Board of Directors of Metal Leve S.A .and Chairman of the CVM –Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission in 1992.
Walter Fontana Filho – Economist and Post-Graduated in Economics, with specialization in Business Marketing. Member of the Board of the “Jornal O Estado de São Paulo” (since 1999), Member of the Board of Directors of ALGAR – Algar S.A. Empreendimentos e Participações (since 2005), Member of the Board of Directors of WTorre Empreendimentos Imobiliários S.A. (since 2007). He was Chief Executive Officer of the Company, with previous experience as Commercial Vice President Director and Domestic Commercial Director.

Attílio Guaspari – (Independent Member) Engineer with a master’s degree in Management Science. He was Finance Director of the Associação dos Funcionários do BNDES – AFBNDE of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Brasil Ferrovias S.A. and Member of the Fiscal Council/ Audit Committee of the BRF - Brasil Foods, acting also as a Financial Specialist.
Osvaldo Roberto Nieto – (Independent Member) Accountant with a Ph.D. in Business Administration. He was planning director of Accor Brasil, audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a member of the board of director at Baker Tilly International.
Jorge Kalache Filho – (Independent Member) Engineer, postgraduate degree in finance and Industrial Economics, and specialization in Business Administration. During BNDES mr. Kalache was chef of departaments, and superintendent of industrial operations, trade, and services. Mr. Kalache has large experience in Board of Directors.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of BRF - Brasil Foods.
Nilvo Mittanck: Mechanic Engineer with an MBA in Management. He works at BRF - Brasil Foods since 1985, as Mechanic and Maintenance Engineer, Advisor and Industrial Engineer Manager and Associate Director. He is currently Chief Operating Officer at BRF - Brasil Foods.
Antonio Augusto de Toni: Foreign Trade Administrator specialized in Marketing Administration, International Administration and Corporate Finance. He also has a MBA in Agribusiness. He was manager and foreign trade director at Chapecó Companhia Industrial de Alimentos and executive director at Chapecó Trading S.A.. At BRF - BRasil Foods he was Market Development Manager and Export Director being currently General Officer of Perdix Business.
Gilberto Antonio Orsato: Business Administrator post graduated in Business Management and with an MBA in Management. He works at BRF - Brasil Foods since 1980, as Industrial and Slaughter Supervisor, Frigorific Production Manager and Associate Director. He is currently Human Relations Officer at BRF- Brasil Foods.
Wlademir Paravisi: Mr. Paravisi is the General Director of the Batavo Business Unit. He has worked for the company since 1978, including as the supply chain director before becoming the General Director of the Batavo Business Unit. Mr. Paravisi received a degree in accounting from University of the State of Santa Catarina, and a post-graduate business administration degree in agribusiness from University of São Paulo. He also concluded the Wharton Advanced Management Program.
Nelson Vas Hacklauer: Mr. Hacklauer is Brasil Foods´business development officer. He has worked for the Company in various capacities since 1983, including as financial and investor relations officer from 1994 to 1995 and as administrative officer from 1989 to 1994. Mr. Hacklauer received his degree in business from Faculdade de Administração de Empresas Campos Salles, in the State of São Paulo.
Luiz Adalberto Stabile Benicio: Mr. Benício is Brasil Foods´ Agribusiness officer. He has worked for the Company in various capacities since 1986, including as animal nutrition manager from 1996 to 2001 before becoming technology officer in 2001. Mr. Benicio received a degree in animal sciences from the Fundação Universidade Estado de Maringá, in the State of Paraná, a master’s degree and Ph.D. in animal sciences from the Federal University of Viçosa, in the State of Minas Gerais. He also received a master’s degree in business administration from University of São Paulo, in the State of São Paulo.
Leopoldo Viriato Saboya: Mr. Leopoldo is the Company´s Financial and Investor Relations Director. Saboya is an agronomist with a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from ESALQ/USP. He has worked at the Company since 2001 in the corporate finance, capital markets, strategic planning and competitive intelligence areas, being appointed to this management division in March.
